Falls and pressure injuries in the aging population are two risk and quality of life areas identified in the CNA Aging Services 2016 Claim Report published last fall. CNA Risk Control Consultants, Traci Espenship, Loretta Mick, and Michelle O’Neil will explore the increase in rising acuity levels and their effect on aging services communities in a follow up webinar on Monday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m. EST.
The faculty will provide insight into closed claims related to professional liability exposures arising in aging services organizations, discuss falls and pressure injuries, the cost associated with these injuries, as well as risk control strategies for improving resident safety. Using data to motivate change will also be discussed. Learning outcomes include:
- Increased knowledge of liability trends in the aging services industry with a focus on CNA claim data relating to resident falls and pressure injuries
